About Endless Travel Plans

Planning family vacations shouldn't feel like a second job.

We're parents who learned the hard way that the best family memories come from smart planning — not perfect planning. Endless Travel Plans is the toolkit we wish had existed when we started.

How we got started

It started on a "relaxing" family trip to Italy. Fifteen browser tabs, a messy spreadsheet, and two kids crying because we hadn't pre-booked Colosseum tickets.

We realised something had to change. Not the travel — we love showing our kids the world. But the chaos of planning had to go.

We kept asking ourselves: why isn't there a tool that handles the boring stuff — budget, logistics, packing — so we can focus on the fun stuff? That's the question Endless Travel Plans was built to answer.

And something happened. Travel became fun again. Friends asked for our "system." Then friends of friends. Then strangers on parent forums. So we built it for everyone.

With Endless Travel Plans
  • Auto-calculated budgets with hidden costs surfaced
  • Centralised family voting with parent 2× weight
  • Smart packing lists that know your weather and kids
  • Visual itineraries — see the day on a map, not in a list
  • Everyone on the same page, literally
What we believe

Family travel should bring you together, not tear you apart.

Four working beliefs that shape every tool we build and every guide we publish.

Collaborative, not combative

Family planning should bring you together, not tear you apart. Everyone deserves a voice in the adventure — including the kids.

Budgets matter, but so do memories

You don't need unlimited funds to create unforgettable experiences. Smart planning beats big spending every time.

Experiences over excess

The best family trips aren't the most expensive ones — they're the ones where everyone feels happy, heard, and present.

Real advice from real parents

The best travel tips come from parents who've actually been there — not marketing agencies or influencers.

How we work

Three commitments. Documented and versioned.

01
No fake reviews

If we haven't tested it, we don't recommend it.

Every destination guide, product recommendation, and planning tip comes from real experience. You won't find fake "47,000 happy families!" claims here. Every cost figure is date-stamped and sourced.

02
Free where it counts

Every article and a generous free tier — and we'd like to keep it that way.

There's a Pro tier for power users. But the articles and the everyday toolkit cost nothing — and that's how it stays. When you book a hotel or grab a gear pick through one of our links, a small commission flows back. The free side stays generous. Quiet thanks every time.

03
We listen

The roadmap comes from parents like you.

Every feature we build, every guide we write, every destination we cover is driven by what real families actually need. Have an idea? Tell us.

About the research desk

A small editorial team working under shared standards, not individual celebrity.

Endless Travel Plans is operated as a research desk — a small editorial team of family travellers working under shared standards rather than as individual bylined writers. We don't publish individual names on most articles because the work is meant to stand on the strength of its sources and methodology, not on any single author's celebrity.

If you'd like to reach the research desk — for corrections, story tips, partnership inquiries, or to flag something that doesn't look right — the contact form reaches a real person. We typically respond within 48 hours.

What the desk produces
  • Date-stamped pricing on every cost figure, sourced to primary publishers (NPS, BLS, NOAA, official tourism boards, major booking aggregators)
  • Verbatim parent quotes from public forums with attribution and links — not paraphrased forum sentiment dressed up as quotes
  • Named, reusable frameworks (the Skip-If Filter, the Three-Question Decision Test, the Real-Cost Test) applied consistently across articles
  • Original aggregate research from our four planning tools — insights no competitor can match
