Family Trip Budget, inside your assistant.
Ask Claude, ChatGPT or your code editor what a family trip will cost, and it gets a priced estimate from the same engine as our budget calculator: lodging, getting there, food, activities and the hidden fees, for your party and your month. Free, no account, no key.

What it does
One read only tool, estimate_family_trip_budget. It never books, buys or changes anything. Your assistant fills these in from your question:
- • destination (required): a city, a theme park, a beach area for an all inclusive, or a cruise.
- • nights (required): 1 to 30.
- • adults (required): 1 to 10.
- • children_ages: one age per child, up to 8 children. Ages decide seats, tickets and meal prices.
- • style: budget, moderate or luxury. Moderate if left out.
- • departure_city: where you leave from, for the cost of getting there. Without it, travel uses a typical distance and says so.
- • month: month of travel. About two months out if left out.
- • trip_type: city, all_inclusive, cruise or theme_park. Worked out from the destination if left out.
It returns a total in US dollars with a low to high range, broken down into getting there, staying, eating, getting around, parks and activities, and extras. Every figure carries its source and date, plus a confidence score and the assumptions made. Figures come from our verified price data and real family budgets, not live prices, so each answer links to our calculator for live prices. If we have no data for a place, it says so rather than guessing.

Limits and privacy
Up to 30 requests a minute from one connection. Estimates are planning figures, not quotes: prices change, so check before you book.
The tool receives only the trip details above, never your name, email or chat. What we keep and why is in section 1.3 of our Privacy Policy.
