Cheap Winter Sun Holidays All Inclusive: The £2,292 Week

Quick Answer

Most families pick the destination, then hunt its cheapest headline. Try it the other way round: board basis moves your number more than the beach does, and the cheapest lead-in below, £378 per person, buys a week all inclusive in Tunisia on 6 December 2026 (as of September 2026, source: Hays Travel). Start with the table, then price your dates in the calculator.

Cheap Winter Sun Holidays All Inclusive: What a Family of Four Really Pays

Family of four means two adults and two kids, roughly 6 and 10, in one room. One of the eight weeks carries a seller-published four-person total; the other seven are quoted per person, and the table says so.

The only published family-of-four total is £2,292; the other seven rows are quoted per person. All eight depart "selected UK airports" and none states a flight time; TUI's own destination pages put London to the Canaries at around four to four and a half hours, the Costa Blanca at around two and a half, and Hurghada and Boa Vista at around six (as of September 2026, source: TUI). Re-verified 3 September 2026 (as of September 2026, source: Hays Travel).

Seven rows are per person. Turn one into a four-person week.

The 8 Best-Value All-Inclusive Winter Sun Hotels, Ranked

Ranked on published evidence: board basis off the seller's listing, seven nights, flights and transfers in, a dated winter departure.

Budget band

Globales Costa Tropical, Fuerteventura

The cheap one. £466 per person, from 29 November 2026 (as of September 2026, source: Hays Travel). The catch: it flies before schools break up. Check current rates against it.

Hotel Flamingo Oasis, Benidorm

The mainland one. £509 per person, from 15 December 2026 (as of September 2026, source: Hays Travel). The catch: Alicante averages a 17.7C December maximum against 22.0C at Fuerteventura (as of September 2026, source: AEMET). A pool you look at.

TUI SUNEO El Trebol, Costa Teguise

Lanzarote, early December. £597 per person, from 3 December 2026 (as of September 2026, source: Hays Travel). The catch: 20kg each, the tightest luggage line here, shared with Benidorm.

Mid-range band

Sindbad Club, Hurghada

Red Sea heat. £574 per person, from 30 November 2026 (as of September 2026, source: Hays Travel). The catch: Hurghada sits outside the Sinai visa waiver, so all four pay at the kiosk.

Jaz Makadi Oasis Club, Hurghada

The step up. £736 per person, from 30 November 2026 (as of September 2026, source: Hays Travel). The catch: insurance from £71 per person, against £38 on the Globales Costa Tropical row.

Royal Thalassa Monastir, Tunisia

The cheapest per-person lead-in on the list. £378 per person, from 6 December 2026, with no deposit and nine monthly payments of £42 per person (as of September 2026, source: Hays Travel). The catch: local tax is billed at the property, and winter here is mild. Price, not tan.

Worth the splurge

Fuerteventura Princess

The pick, the only Canaries week published as a four-person figure. £2,292 for two adults and two children, from 13 February 2027 (as of September 2026, source: Hays Travel). February maxima there average 21.0C (as of September 2026, source: AEMET). The catch: it sits in the February break, which is why it is the dearest Canaries row. Check current rates on Expedia, then book the cheaper column.

Hotel Riu Touareg, Boa Vista

Warmest, priciest. £915 per person, from 1 December 2026 (as of September 2026, source: Hays Travel). The catch: £16 per person of tax at the property, plus an entry form and security fee.

How a From £431pp Headline Becomes £2,292

Take the cheapest hotel on one winter sun shelf. The card reads "From £431pp" with a £25 saving. Open it: half board, five nights, 7 February 2027, two adults, adults-only hotel (as of September 2026, source: Hays Travel). Four of those does not exist as a product. Nor do the lunches or the children.

It repeats. A "From £795pp" Tenerife card is ten nights half board; a "From £640pp" Gran Canaria card departs 16 March 2027, which is not winter (as of September 2026, source: Hays Travel). Read four line items: nights, board, party, date.

All Inclusive, "All Inclusive Light" and Half Board: The Label Trap

"All inclusive light" is the phrase parents meet on forums and in small print, and no glossary behind this table defines it (as of September 2026, sources: Hays Travel, Holiday Hypermarket).

Board basisMealsLocal drinksBranded drinksSnacksHays Travel's published wording, quoted
Half boardBreakfast and one main mealFree at breakfast onlyChargedNot defined"Coffee, tea and fruit juices are normally provided free of charge at breakfast, other soft and alcoholic drinks usually incur an additional cost"
Full boardBreakfast, lunch and dinnerFree at breakfast onlyChargedNot defined"Drinks are not usually included, although selected breakfast drinks such as tea, coffee, fruit juice and water are typically available at no extra charge"
All inclusive"Unlimited food"IncludedNot definedIncluded"Unlimited food, beverages, sports activities and day and night entertainment"
"Not defined" means the seller publishes no definition. Neither seller defines a la carte access anywhere. Holiday Hypermarket words half board the same way, an option that excludes drinks except for basics such as tea and juice: half board and full board differ by one meal, not by drinks (as of September 2026, sources: Hays Travel, Holiday Hypermarket).

Our guide to what all inclusive includes puts a family spend against that gap, and the case for and against all-inclusive resorts says when the wristband stops paying.

December vs January vs February Half Term: When the Same Hotel Costs £62pp More

Both are TUI packages sold through Hays Travel, seven nights all inclusive with transfers, two adults sharing, published side by side on 3 September (as of September 2026, source: Hays Travel).

£62 a head is less than half-term folklore suggests. For your council's dates see our UK school holidays guide; the booking-by-month guide covers the release cycle.

Where Do Brits Go for Winter Sun and Which Is Cheapest on a Budget?

Winter all-inclusive stock concentrates on the Canaries, the Spanish mainland coasts, Egypt's Red Sea and Cape Verde, and they supply every row above except the Tunisian one. The Algarve is the outlier: not one all-inclusive card on its page (as of September 2026, source: Hays Travel).

Cheapest depends which cheap you mean. On all-inclusive package price Tunisia leads at £378 per person, with the Canaries from £466 to £597 in early December. On the ground the Algarve has the cheapest resort basket, £58.95 for eight typical tourist items (as of September 2026, source: Post Office Travel Money). Score bed and breakfast lead-ins across a wider list and another name comes first: our winter sun destinations guide ranks 14 and puts Madeira top, a basket this page does not price.

Last-Minute All-Inclusive Winter Sun: What Is Left in November

Quite a lot, and the cheapest sun of the season. Six of the eight weeks above depart between 29 November and 6 December 2026, the cheapest rates among them (as of September 2026, source: Hays Travel).

Late deals flip to four-person pricing too: an Albufeira apartment week for two adults and two kids showed at £1,078 self catering, a Majorca all-inclusive week at £1,455 for four (as of September 2026, source: Hays Travel). The agent's definition: "A last-minute booking could mean a month or a matter of weeks before departure, but you could also book within days of travel if you're open to a range of options" (as of September 2026, source: Hays Travel).

Transfers, Tourist Taxes and the Airport Question

Every package above includes return transfers, the thing a hotel-only booking leaves you solving at midnight with two tired kids. Taxes work differently: the seller quotes some and still collects them at the property, and one is not in the package.

Canaries: all three rows carry the seller's no-local-tax line. Cape Verde: the £16 per person is quoted in the price and still "to be paid at the property", plus an entry form and security fee filed five days ahead or you pay double. Tunisia: billed at the property too, with no amount published on the current listing (as of September 2026, source: Hays Travel). Egypt: an airport visa costs 30 US dollars, cash only, and only Sharm El Sheikh, Dahab, Nuweiba and Taba stays under 15 days are exempt. Hurghada is not on that list, so all four of you pay (as of September 2026, source: UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office).

None of the eight names an airport: all say "selected UK airports", so confirm yours before building a transfer buffer.

Which Cheap Winter Sun Hotel Is Right for Your Family?

Two under 7 and a hard budget cap: the Fuerteventura late-November week. Nobody in reception cares that your youngest missed three days of Year 2.

School-locked with primary-age kids: the February Canaries week is the one priced for four, so you can budget it without guessing. Flexible on destination: Tunisia is cheaper. Teens who won't leave the room before noon: the Red Sea for the diving, or Benidorm for the strip.

Our take

Fuerteventura Princess at £2,292 is the pick, dearest Canaries row and all, because it is the only Canaries winter week anyone has priced for four. Royal Thalassa Monastir is the cheapest per-person route at £378 in early December, and wins outright if winter warmth matters less than winter money.

Then run it through the visual itinerary builder so the transfer lands where you expect.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where is the cheapest place to go for winter sun?
For UK families the cheapest all-inclusive package on our winter list is Tunisia at £378 per person for a 6 December 2026 departure; Canaries weeks with flights and transfers started at £466 per person on a 29 November 2026 departure (as of September 2026, source: Hays Travel). On bed and breakfast lead-ins across a wider list, our winter sun destinations guide puts Madeira first, which is a different basket.
What are the best all inclusive destinations for a winter sun holiday?
UK operators sell winter all-inclusive almost entirely in four places: the Canary Islands, the Spanish mainland coasts, Egypt's Red Sea and Cape Verde (as of September 2026, source: Hays Travel). The Canaries carry the most all-inclusive stock, Egypt carries the reliable heat, and Cape Verde carries the warmest December at the highest price per head.
Where is hot in December but cheap?
Fuerteventura is the best answer for a UK family. December daily maxima average 22.0C at the island's airport, against 17.7C at Alicante and 17.5C at Malaga (as of September 2026, source: AEMET, 1981 to 2010 normals), and all-inclusive December weeks were selling from £466 per person (as of September 2026, source: Hays Travel). Our winter sun destinations guide scores 14 destinations on heat against price. Check current Fuerteventura rates as a second tab.
Where is the cheapest place for an all inclusive holiday?
Of the eight all-inclusive winter weeks priced here, the only published four-person total is £2,292 for two adults and two children in Fuerteventura, departing 13 February 2027 with flights and transfers included. The cheapest per-person lead-in is Tunisia at £378 for a 6 December 2026 departure, with the Canaries from £466, but no four-person total is published against those (as of September 2026, source: Hays Travel).
Where do Brits go for winter sun?
The Canary Islands carry the most all-inclusive listings on Hays' winter sun shelf, followed by the Costa Blanca and Costa del Sol, Egypt's Red Sea resorts and Cape Verde (as of September 2026, source: Hays Travel). The Algarve stays popular but is sold as apartments and bed and breakfast rather than all inclusive, so it rarely appears on all-inclusive shelves.
Where is the cheapest place for winter sun on a budget?
Book a Canaries week in late November or early December: those departures were the cheapest Canaries all-inclusive rates on the shelf at £466 to £597 per person for two adults, seven nights with flights and transfers (as of September 2026, source: Hays Travel). If your spending money is the tight part rather than the package, the Algarve had the cheapest resort basket at £58.95 (as of September 2026, source: Post Office Travel Money, Holiday Money Report 2025). Check current Benidorm rates for the mainland alternative.

Data Sources and Verification

Every package rate on this page was fetched from the seller's own listing on 2 September 2026, the eight-hotel table re-verified on 3 September 2026, with the board basis, departure date, duration, party composition and transfer inclusion read off the same page as the price. Climate figures are national met service normals, not resort marketing. Entry and tax rules come from UK government travel advice.

Package rates are lead-in prices that move daily and were correct when checked on 2 and 3 September 2026. Re-check the board basis, duration and party composition on the seller's page before you book.
